Progressive rock at bone-rattling volume and "creative dress" -- break out the leather -- attract a young crowd. There are special nights for alternative rock, house, techno, soul, and funk. Axis also schedules international DJs and occasional concerts; really hot stuff turns up on the Avalon website . Open Monday (gay night) and Thursday through Saturday from 10pm to 2am.
