In Budapest, the circus is always in town, year-round. The building, which is the venue for the circus, is the only stone circus in central Europe and seats 1,850. This is a traditional circus, with clowns, animals, jugglers, acrobats, and so on. In 2009, they celebrated their 120-year jubilee. When buying tickets, it's helpful to know that porond means "ring level" and erkély means "balcony." Check the website (it has an English link) to verify times, as the schedule has minor changes from year to year. The English pages are quite thorough and have a seating chart. The box office is open weekdays from 10am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 7:30pm, and Sunday 9am to 6pm.
