Frommer's Review
The Angelika Cukrászda is housed in a historic building next to St. Anne's Church on Buda's Batthyány tér. The sunken rooms of this cavernous cafe provide the perfect retreat on a hot summer day. The place includes a grill restaurant outside and a complex of terraces on three levels in the summer months. Now you will find a perfect view of the Parliament building and the Chain Bridge. The stained-glass windows and marble floors contrast beautifully with the off-white canvas upholstery and cast-iron furniture. You can choose from among a selection of excellent pastries, coffees, and teas. There is a small gallery inside the coffeehouse, where artworks are displayed. Be wary of your bill; we had the unpleasant experience of being over-charged by an errant and arrogant waiter, who was quickly reprimanded by the owner when we complained.
