When we arrived here, armed with a half-off offer for Sunday dining, we found an outside table available on the quiet street and it was thoroughly relaxing. In keeping with its name, Old Amsterdam offers over 20 beers of Dutch and Hungarian labels. The cafe quality has improved with more ambience; lovely Dutch-style ornaments and pictures grace the walls to create the illusion of the city of canals. The menu is not extensive, but satisfying. Each of us had an incredible dish and we were all satisfied. When the check came, there was no sign of a discount. When we questioned the waiter, we were told the restaurant had a new owner as of the week prior. The offer was no longer valid, but with the quality and quantity of the food and service, we did not mind.
