The downtown hotel scene in Buffalo is dominated by a couple of large chain hotels that serve both the convention and visitor populations. However, they're by no means your only options.

A little farther out, you'll find more options, such as Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo/Amherst, 4100 Sheridan Dr. (tel. 800/321-2211 or 716/626-2300); Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Rossler at Dingens St. (tel. 800/HOLIDAY or 716/896-2900); and the Boulevard Inn and Suites, 3612 Main St. (tel. 716/837-3344).
