One of downtown's most happening scenes, Pearl Street attracts college kids and families alike. Set in an old warehouse with leaded windows, exposed brick, wood beams, and low-level lights, Pearl Street is two floors of nonstop beer-pouring, food-running, and pool playing. The warehouse-cum-microbrewery is a stereotype by now, but Pearl Street pulls it off well. The menu offers basic burgers and salads, and upgrades with tasty pasta and pizza, excellent kielbasa, and more upscale options like grilled Atlantic salmon with lemon dill butter. Definitely sample the beer: The Lake Effect Pale Ale and Trainwreck are both excellent.
