Located right next door to The Old Library Restaurant, a former Carnegie home, this pink house looks decidedly un-Carnegie, as it's more frilly than stately. It is a historic home, dating from 1895, though it's only been hosting guests since 1988. Beautifully decorated inside with a rich woodwork of oak, blistered maple, mahogany, and parquet floors, you'll also find stained-glass windows and tons of antiques. None of the units, however, can boast the charm of the public spaces; they are unfortunately carpeted and done in pastel colors, and the standard rooms are quite cramped. Upgrade to one of the huge suites if you can.
