This is the most traditional of supper places for Campechanos. It's a small restaurant under the stone arches that face the Plaza San Francisco in the barrio (neighborhood) of San Francisco. This is the oldest part of town, but it lies outside the walls just to the north. Don't leave without ordering the horchata (a sweet milky-white drink made of a variety of things -- in this case, coconut). For food, try the turkey soup, which is wonderful, and the sincronizadas (tostadas) and panuchos.
