Carnac doesn't stay up very late, but a few places are worth checking out. The Whiskey Club, 8 av. des Druides (tel. 02-97-52-10-52), operates in an old stone house with two floors devoted to entertainment. The first offers an atmosphere conducive to conversation over drinks; the second is home to dancing and music. Les Chandelles, avenue de l'Atlantique (tel. 02-97-52-90-98), pulls in a young, flashy crowd. The club plays mainly disco and charges an 11€ ($16) cover. As at most discos in France, no jeans or sneakers are allowed. The professional crowd gathers at Petit Bedon, 106 av. des Druides (tel. 02-97-52-11-62). With its mixture of African and Mexican decor, this is the place to dance to '60s rock. There's no cover, but a beer will set you back 6.75€ ($9.80).
