This medieval-inspired manor house is from the late 19th century. Named for the smooth rocks (fines roches) found in the soil of the nearby vineyards, the château devotes its huge cellars to the storage of thousands of bottles of local wines. The guest rooms on the upper floors of this charming hotel are renovated and include Provençal styling with a scattering of antiques. The bathrooms are small but each has a shower.

We highly recommend taking a meal in the restaurant here. Menu items, carefully crafted and full of flavor, include filets of red mullet prepared with aromatic herbs and garnished with its own liver marinated in vinaigrette, barigoule of crayfish tails with artichokes, filet of bull from the Camargue marinated in a particular vintage (syrah) of strong red wine, and roast rack of local lamb with a gratin of eggplant and sheep's cheese. The wine list focuses on local vintages, particularly those from the village.
