To see Chihuahua's sights in 1 day, consider taking a 3-hour city tour; English-speaking guides are available. Three recommended agencies are Torre del Sol, Independencia 116-2 (tel. 614/415-7380), in the Hotel Palacio del Sol; Turismo al Mar; and Viajes Rojo y Casavantes in the Quality Inn Chihuahua San Francisco and at Vicente Guerrero 1207 (tel. 614/415-4636; fax 614/415-5384)..Any of these will pick you up at your hotel. A half-day city tour includes visits to the museums, the churches, the colonial aqueduct, the state capitol building, the state penitentiary, and more. A 7-hour trip to the Mennonite village near Cuauhtémoc costs about 350 pesos per person, with a minimum of four people. Unless you have a particular interest in cheese making or the Mennonites, it's not worth your time.
