Things To Do in Chihuahua
Chihuahua Attractions
To see Chihuahua's sights in 1 day, consider taking a 3-hour city tour; English-speaking guides are available. Three recommended agencies are Torre del Sol, Independencia 116-2 (tel. 614/415-7380), in the Hotel Palacio del Sol; Turismo al Mar; and Viajes Rojo y Casavantes in the Quality Inn Chihuahua San Francisco and at Vicente Guerrero 1207 (tel. 614/415-4636; fax 614/415-5384). Any of these will pick you up at your hotel. A half-day city tour includes visits to the museums, the churches, the colonial aqueduct, the state capitol building, the state penitentiary, and more. A 7- hour trip to the Mennonite village near Cuauhtémoc costs about 350 pesos per person, with a minimum of four people. Unless you have a particular interest in cheese making or the Mennonites, it's not worth your time.

Chihuahua Nightlife
The nightlife in Chihuahua has seen better times. The killings and carjackings have dampened the locals' appetite for nightlife. If your hotel has live music, you're best off staying put. At the Quality Inn Chihuahua San Francisco, there's live music Monday through Saturday, with happy hour from 5 to 8pm. The lobby bar at the Hotel Palacio del Sol schedules live entertainment occasionally.
