Rincón Mexicano

The Rincón serves great Mexican food and offers a substantial number of choices. Good appetizers include quesadillas de huitlacoche (corn empanadas with cheese and corn fungus) for the adventurous, and chile con asadero (melted spicy cheese). For a main dish that gives you a little of everything, try enchiladas tres moles. As you would expect of a restaurant in Chihuahua, the emphasis is on beef, prepared in very Mexican ways such as puntas en chile pasado (beef tips cooked in a dried chile sauce) or molcajete de res (fajitas cooked and served in a steaming stone vessel accompanied by tortillas). The interior is easy on the eyes, with muted tones of yellow and orange, good lighting, and tablecloths. A guitar trio occasionally performs soft music in the evenings. The restaurant is a short taxi ride from downtown.
