ShoppingCobán isn't a great shopping town, but there is a small, local artisan market (tel. 502/4145-8722), located in the Parque Navidad, behind the city's government buildings, just downhill from the central park. However, the offerings here are pretty standard tourist fare. I prefer the small craft shop at X'kape Kob'an, which focuses on locally produced arts and craft works.
