Colorado is generally a family-friendly state, with lots of things for all ages to enjoy. Throughout this book you'll find numerous attractions, lodgings, and even restaurants that are especially well suited to kids. These include places such as the Butterfly Pavilion & Insect Center in Denver, North Pole/Santa's Workshop in the Colorado Springs area, Dinosaur Journey Museum in Grand Junction, and Fairy Caves in Glenwood Springs.
Additionally, state and national parks are great places for family vacations, and the national parks usually have excellent children's programs (be sure to ask about Junior Ranger programs). The state's many ski resorts all have special programs for kids.
