This big hotel in the heart of Kilkenny town is a good option for families. Its central location means there are no scenic views, but rooms are big and modern. The emphasis is on bright open spaces -- the halls are wide and full of light, and rooms are done in soft, warm colors. There's plenty of stress relief to be had next door at a state-of-the-art leisure club, connected to the hotel by an underground walkway. Deluxe rooms are spacious, with a queen-size bed and a single bed (great for families), as well as amenities including plush bathrobes. The service here could use improvement, however, and the breakfast will not win any awards as Ireland's best.
