This attractive Georgian (ca. 1750) building alongside the Little Argile River was once part of the Jerpoint Abbey's estate. The front garden is a perfect spot to relax, and the sitting room, complete with piano and stacks of books, suits both quiet reading and a round of songs. Owner Helen Blanchfield serves you tea and scones when you arrive, and then directs you to one of the comfortable rooms, all of which have firm, orthopedic beds. The nearby town of Thomastown is charming.
