Green plants peek through the lace curtains of this popular restaurant, which is our choice for a quiet, intimate dinner. Under the same ownership since 1978, the restaurant's menu changes seasonally, but always includes fresh seafood, beef, lamb, and vegetarian entrees. Typical entrees might include a roast rack of lamb in a red wine-and-garlic butter sauce; fresh tilapia in a sauce of tomatoes, spinach, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, fennel, and garlic; and the 10-ounce all-natural range-fed New York strip steak served with horseradish mashed new red potatoes. Available from 5:30 to 6:30pm only, the Twilight Menu offers, for $20, soup or salad, a choice of several entrees such as filet of ruby trout or grilled rack of pork, and a choice of desserts. There's also an excellent wine list.
