Breezes Curaçao Review

This is Curaçao's first major all-inclusive resort, boasting the largest casino in Curaçao and one free shore dive per guest per day. Adjacent to the Undersea National Park and Seaquarium, this large complex opens onto one of Curaçao's man-made beaches. This high-energy complex has a large free-form pool and one of the longest beaches on the island, with decent snorkeling offshore. Catering to both couples and singles, the resort also welcomes families, with children's programs and an on-site supervised trapeze school. The most desirable rooms overlook the ocean; others front the hotel's gardens. Bathrooms have either a shower or a tub/shower combination, and all open onto private patios or balconies. The resort's active entertainment program includes guest talent shows, the obligatory belly-flop contests and staff "cultural" show, but the staff's true talent is their friendly attitude. The resort has two specialty restaurants: an outdoor Japanese steakhouse and an Italian restaurant with some alfresco tables. The food is plentiful, if patchy in its quality. The outdoor restaurant is cramped but plans are in the works to relocate the cheesy stage outdoors and make more room for seating.

Facilities:
4 restaurants; 3 bars; babysitting; casino; children's program and playground; fitness center; 3 pools; room service; spa; 2 tennis courts; dive shop; deep-sea fishing; snorkeling; windsurfing

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
