Frommer's Review
Bruno is a bit of a Calabrian dynamo, running his clean, efficient little hotel in a prime location with gusto, and he's one of the more helpful, advice-proffering hoteliers in town. The Abaco has inherited a few nice touches from its 15th-century palazzo, including high wood ceilings, stone floors (some are parquet), and in tiny no. 5 a carved pietra serena fireplace. And each room is themed after a Renaissance artist, with framed reproductions of the painter's works and a color scheme derived from them. Bruno has replaced the mismatched furnishings with quirky antique-style pieces such as gilded frame mirrors and rich half-testers over the beds. The hotel is at a busy intersection, but the double-paned windows help. Bruno will even do a load of laundry for you for just 7€ ($9.10), wash and dry.
