Hotel California ReviewThe California is a good budget option on a lightly trafficked street near the Duomo. Rooms have stylish modern furnishings, richly colored bedspreads, and bathrooms have spacious marble sink counters -- a few have Jacuzzi tubs. There are 18th-century fresco fragments and stuccoes on many of the ceilings, and breakfast is served on a flower-covered terrace in nice weather. A few of the rooms have balconies and views of the Duomo's cupola, and they offer good deals for families.
