Frommer's Review
There's no better place than Bistro Isadora Duncan for a romantic dinner. The lovely antiques-furnished house offers only a handful of tables in the dining room by the fireplace or on the veranda overlooking the lake. The tagline for the kitchen is "cozinha artesanal," which means craftlike cooking. The staff take pride in making dishes from scratch using only the freshest ingredients. The menu is kept fairly small with a handful of seafood and meat dishes. In the land of the prawn you can't go wrong with the camarões abençoados (blessed prawns), served in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce and sautéed potatoes, or the camarões encantados (enchanted prawns), prawns flambéed in orange juice, served with wild rice. And if it is a romantic dinner, why not start off with a plate of local oysters au gratin? The restaurant normally doesn't open afternoons but in high season it's worth calling -- the location makes for a wonderful lunch spot.
