Brewbakers is a convivial pub, cafe, and restaurant, located on three levels in a cleverly adapted downtown building. It's a bustling and informal spot, creatively cluttered with artifacts and artworks, and does boomtown business during lunch hours and early evenings. The cafe section is quieter, as is the mezzanine dining room above the cafe. The third floor bustles, with an open kitchen and folks lined up for the popular build-your-own pasta buffet. And pasta is the main attraction here, served up with the usual array of sauces. Also good are the personal pizzas, the roasted chicken, the grilled strip loin, and the herb-crusted tenderloin. The lunch buffet is one of the better deals in town -- bring a large appetite. For a meal on the go, the cafe offers a creative selection of boxed lunches.
