This modern resort hotel, built in 1992, occupies a prime location along the river about 10 minutes' walk from downtown via the riverfront pathway. Much of summer life revolves around the outdoor pool (with poolside bar) on the deck overlooking the river, and on Sunday the lobby is surrendered to an over-the-top breakfast buffet. Although decidedly up to date, the interior is done with classical styling and is comfortable and well appointed. The hotel lounge is an active and popular spot on many nights, especially weekends. Across the lobby is Bruno's Fredericton Restaurant, which offers a good alternative to the restaurants downtown. Look for seasonal and regional specialties, including fiddleheads in early summer.
