Planning a Trip

Getting There

By Train -- Trains from Frankfurt arrive hourly throughout the day (trip time: 3 1/2 hr.). Ten trains per day arrive from Munich (trip time: 4 1/2 hr.). Freudenstadt has two railway stations, the Stadtbahnhof, an older and smaller station in the center of town, and the Hauptbahnhof, about .5km (1/3 mile) south of the center. Most trains stop at both. For information on trains throughout Germany and Europe, call tel. 01805/996633 or visit www.bahn.de.

By Bus -- Bus travel tends to be convenient only for those coming from surrounding hamlets. Buses stop at both the Bahnhofplatz and the Marktplatz. For information, call tel. 07441/860130.

By Car -- Driving from Stuttgart, following the B28, takes about 15 minutes; from Karlsruhe via the B462, about 30 minutes.
