Respected British chef Guy Massey opened this restaurant in Pueblo López, close to the harborfront, taking over the premises of an antique house with a long-standing reputation as a home-away-from-home for English-speaking expatriates. In a sunflooded dining room outfitted like a rustic and cozy Iberian tavern, Massey prepares a flavorful blend of Iberian and English dishes based on market-fresh ingredients. Sundays at lunchtime, a traditional, somewhat straightforward English lunch -- replete with roast beef and plenty of references to merrie olde England -- goes for 20€ ($32) per person. The rest of the week, at dinnertime, menu items include the likes of foie gras on toast with Calvados-infused peach marmalade; crispy quail served with a honey and tomato salsa; fresh oysters with a lemon and shallot-flavored vinaigrette and a glass of champagne; sauteed scallops with a creamy caper and raisin-studded risotto; and roasted monkfish rolled in sesame seeds with crispy bacon and a saffron sauce.
