Planning a TripGetting There By Plane -- The nearest major airport is in Munich. By Train -- Trains from Munich and Augsburg arrive frequently throughout the day. By Bus -- Regional service is provided by Deutsche Touring GmbH, Frankfurt (tel. 069/7903501; www.touring.de). This company runs at least 13 buses a day to the royal castles. By Car -- Access by car is via the A7 Autobahn from the north and also the B17 from Augsburg. Hours vary but are usually Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6:30pm and Saturday 9am to 2:30pm in summer, and in winter Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to noon.
