La Demi-Lune
With its earthy colour scheme, comfy leather sofas, and eclectic décor from around the world, this friendly, cozy bar-restaurant in the Old Town draws a young crowd—an eclectic mix of trendy students and young professionals—for its cocktails (served into the early hours) and its good-value cuisine. It serves a mouthwatering selection of tapas, salads, clubsandwiches, homemade hamburgers, and tagines (our favorite is the authentic North African lamb tagine with eggplant, zucchini, and chickpeas) daily until 10pm (10:30pm Thurs–Sat). Be sure to check out the daily salads—the goat cheese and bacon salad comes highly recommended—and the dessert specials. Meringues with cream from Gruyères are always a winner; otherwise, opt for the platter, with five different desserts to share between two.
