Frommer's Review
This converted convent enjoys a wonderful location -- only a few short blocks from Stazione Principe yet on the edge of the old city. And the dead-end side street in front ensures peace and quiet. A few of the lower-floor rooms retain the building's original 16th-century character, with high (rooms numbered in teens) or vaulted (rooms numbered under 10) ceilings. Those upstairs have been completely renovated in crisp modern style, with warm-hued tile floors and mostly modular furnishings; the tiled bathrooms are new and spotless, though many have only curtainless tubs with hand-held nozzles. Singles all come with those lovely extra-wide "French-style" beds. Some top-floor rooms come with air-conditioning and the added charm of balconies and views over the Old Town and harbor (best from no. 56). The friendly proprietor dispenses wine, sightseeing tips, and breakfast in the cozy little bar off the lobby.
