Frommer's Review
West of the M8 freeway but not precisely in the West End, this is one of the best-known and long-established restaurants in Glasgow. This Victorian tenement has been standing here since 1870 or so, although most remnants of the neighborhood are now gone. The Buttery continues to exude old-world charm from its rich, sumptuous bar and lounge to the wood-paneled dining room with white linen. Although the setting is traditional, the cooking is progressive: rabbit served with roasted coriander seed sauce or halibut with a pea purée.
