This ranks high on the list of many locals' favorite restaurants. The "Two Fat Ladies" is a reference to its street number -- a nickname for the number 88 when called out in bingo games. The kitchen is placed right at the front door; the decor of the small dining space to the rear is fairly minimalist. Specialties include red-onion-and-goat-cheese tart, pan-seared bream, filet of sea bass served on mashed potatoes with spring onions, a balsamic roasted breast of chicken, and sticky toffee pudding. In addition to the West End flagship, a second outlet has opened in the commercial center at 118a Blythswood St. (tel. 0141/847-0088).
