This restaurant in the heart of the Merchant City combines friendly service and a set of menus that highlight fresh fish, seafood, and meat. Not exactly old-fashioned but certainly favored by businessmen and for family events, the restaurant's cuisine tends to be more reliable than mind-blowingly stunning. Try the whopping platter of shellfish served on ice or one of the "catch-of-the-day" main courses. Also tempting are seared scallops as well as the classic smoked haddock soup, known as Cullen skink. If you're not in the mood for some fruits of the sea, roast breast of duck, rack of lamb, or an escalope of venison can substitute.
