Frommer's Review
Glasgow's first-class Hilton is centrally located but oddly situated over the stretch of M8 freeway that slashes through the city of Glasgow. Perhaps the caliber of guests ensures that they all take taxis or have private cars because actually trying to get to and from the place on foot can be a bit of a nightmare. Still, it is a dignified and modern hotel; one that has a good deal of class and shine. The numerous units -- plush and conservative -- in the 20-story building offer fine city views. Those staying on the executive floors enjoy the enhanced facilities of a semiprivate club. Dining options include a casual New York deli-style buffet, Minsky's as well as the posh Camerons with first-rate and expensive modern Scottish cuisine.
