Frommer's Review
If you could only visit one pub in Glasgow, that would be a shame, but I'd advise you to pick this one. It is one of the last remaining "Palace Pubs," which opened around the turn of the 20th century. The circular, island bar is one of the longest in Europe. Drinks are relatively inexpensive (as is the upstairs buffet). Karaoke draws crowds every night of the week to a second floor lounge, but in the main bar it is conversation and sports on the many televisions that provide the entertainment. Drinks are served Monday to Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday from 12:30pm to midnight. The buffet is open until 7:30pm daily except Sunday when it closes at 5pm.
