Quality Panorama Hotel

Guidebooks tend to ignore this 13-story hotel, a 10-minute walk west of the center of town, but we consider it a discovery. Even though it is little publicized, it is one of the better choices in the so-called "moderate" category in pricey Sweden. It is spacious with a sense of drama, as evoked by its sky-lit and plant-filled lobby. Each of the midsize-to-large bedrooms is furnished in a comfortable, tasteful style, with soft lighting and double-glazing on the windows. The finest accommodations, and certainly those with a view, are found on the 13th floor. The hotel also boasts a balcony-level restaurant serving good and reasonably priced food made with market-fresh ingredients.
