Hotel Weitzer

Standing on the River Mur, the largest hotel in Graz (not to be confused with the Grand Hotel Wiesler) consists of two buildings connected by an overhead glass tunnel. The same family has run the whole complex for four generations. Behind soundproof windows, rooms are well-lit and comfortably furnished. Some of the more spacious accommodations offer queen-size beds, whereas a dozen corner rooms are filled with paired double beds. The third floor is the nonsmoking floor. For the best views, ask for one of the fifth-floor rooms. Restaurant Casserolle, on the ground floor, is one of the best restaurants in town. The hotel also offers the Café Weitzer, in typical Viennese style, along with a lobby bar for cocktails and after-dinner drinks. The hotel is a member of the Steigenberger Reservations System.
