If there's no space at the listed hotels, the Hampton Inn (tel. 1800/4267-866; www.hampton.com.ec) and Four Points Sheraton (tel. 04/2691-888; www.sheraton.com) are two good options. Inexpensive There are plenty of run-down and seedy budget hotels in Guayaquil, but I really can't recommend any of them. Given the heat and humidity, I think it's worth the splurge for someplace with air-conditioning and a sense of style, like the places listed here.
