Hotels in Guayaquil

If there's no space at the hotels listed here, the Hampton Inn (tel. 1800/4267-866; www.hampton.com.ec) and Sheraton (tel. 04/2691-888; www.sheraton.com) are two good options.

Very Expensive -- Tip: For the large luxury resorts, be sure to book online or through an agency, where you can usually get rates far, far better than the rack rates listed here.

Inexpensive -- There are plenty of run-down and seedy budget hotels in Guayaquil, but I really can't recommend any of them. Given the heat and humidity, I think it's worth the splurge for someplace with air-conditioning and a sense of style.
