This little joint has just five plastic tables with plastic lawn chairs in a narrow room. Plastic flowers in cheap vases, a couple of squawking parrots in the back, and kitschy, semiholographic nature scenes on the main wall complete the ambience. The bistec uruguayo, a kind of deep-fried pork cordon bleu, is huge, and the pollo a la cacerola, baked chicken in a tomato sauce, is excellent. Try to get a seat near one of the fans, because -- despite the massive air-conditioning unit -- this place can get a little stuffy, especially midday.
