This upscale restaurant is in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong yet remains aloof, removed from the milling crowds by its subdued setting. Dining here imparts a feeling of being above it all, but the real draw is the cuisine from southern France, expertly rendered by the chef into classic culinary masterpieces. The duck foie gras is not to be missed; other recommended dishes include the cassoulet (a stew of duck leg, Toulouse sausage, bacon, and white beans), the grilled sea bass and scallops with a creamy sea-urchin sauce, and the flambé beef tenderloin and foie gras with a morel sauce and potato gratin. Be sure to save room for desserts like the restaurant's legendary hazelnut chocolate soufflé.
