Located in the historic Murray House, a massive, colonnaded stone structure built in Central in 1843, dismantled, and rebuilt here stone for stone, this restaurant boasts views of the sea from its outdoor terrace and serves mostly traditional Thai and Vietnamese food, as well as a few other popular Asian dishes. Entrees include Singaporean-style fried curry crab, prawns with lemon grass, and Hainese-style chicken. This is both a relaxing place to end a day of shopping and an affordable option, with most dinners costing around HK$200 (US$26/£14).

There's another branch at 13-15 Cleveland St., Causeway Bay (tel. 852/2504 3930; MTR: Causeway Bay), open daily noon to midnight.
