This is a good choice for casual dining on Knutsford Terrace, a tucked-away pedestrian lane lined with bars and restaurants at the north end of Tsim Sha Tsui. You can choose to sit outside and watch the human parade, or settle in the simple, dark restaurant at one of the booths or tables. A guitarist serenades in the evening. The cuisine ranges from classic French recipes to more interesting creations, including roasted black cod with fennel and star anise, coq au vin, and bouillabaisse. The cheerful service is a bit slow but not deliberately so, making this a good bet only when you won't be ruffled by a languorous -- or should we say French? -- and carefree dinner. Lunchtime is faster and more economical.
