Across from Kowloon Park, the Miramar is strategically located in the midst of a shopping area, including the Park Lane shopping arcade and Miramar Shopping Centre. An older hotel once known for its showy exterior and glitzy gold-colored decor, this 50-some-year-old property toned down its public areas during a major renovation some years back; the last trace of the Miramar's former flashy self can only be seen in its stained-glass windows in the lobby's atrium ceiling. Since it caters largely to Asian tour groups, a high percentage of its rooms are twins. All are quite roomy though rather standard, with some of the higher-floor deluxe rooms offering views of Kowloon Park.
