Opened in 2002, this is one of Kowloon's newest hotels, giving it a contemporary, upbeat edge over competitors. Rooms, occupying the 8th through 26th floors of a round, hollow, glass-sheathed tower, boast wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling windows, though only those above the 17th floor have distant harbor views. Glass-topped desks and bowl-shaped basins rise above ordinary hotel furnishings in more deluxe rooms, but the dim, bedside-reading lamps will ruin your eyes. Unlike most Hong Kong hotels, showers here greatly outnumber tubs. There's a pool, but it's at the bottom of the pit-like tower, rendering it grossly uninviting. Still, this hotel, popular with Japanese guests, is a welcome addition to Kowloon's medium-priced accommodations.
