The Amfora opened to great fanfare in 2008 in a pine forest 10 minutes from St. Stephen's Square in Hvar Town. Everything in the newest kid on the block is luxe, including a pool with cascading waterfalls and garden islands, the Maestral restaurant set on a yacht, lush landscaping, and a spa. Rooms are outfitted with modern electronics and decor, and all have park or sea views. Tip: The Amfora's Bonj Les Bains private beach club is an oasis of decadence from yesteryear. Rent a stone cabana with sun beds and table for 111€ per day for two at the refurbished 1930s facility.
