Hotels in Hvar
There are no hotel bargains in Hvar Town, and most of the accommodations in Stari Grad are huge, impersonal package resorts. Since the island became all the rage, innkeepers have been scrambling to expand and renovate, and the result is prices escalating faster than hotel improvements. You still can find modestly priced private accommodations, but in the summer expect to book four days or more just to get a reservation.
