Schlosshotel Igls

The town's most historic and glamorous hotel, this baroque monument was built as a private castle in 1880 and converted into a small, plush hotel in the 1970s. It sits on its own grass-covered plateau at the end of a narrow street. Many famous guests to Tyrol have stayed here. Rooms are spacious and individually decorated with luxurious beds. Some rooms offer panoramic mountain views. The most renowned of the accommodations is the Rubino Suite, with a fireplace, terrace, and sauna. The hotel's excellent restaurant serves both traditional and international food in turn-of-the-20th-century surroundings. Guests also have access to the two tennis courts at the Schlosshotel's jointly owned hotel, the Sporthotel.
