After 19 years, this lunch and breakfast cafe maintains its popularity, primarily due to Bruce Steckler's consistent menu and owner Martha Hoover's keen sense of keeping the clients happy. Expect to pay New York prices ($2.75 for a cup of coffee that's frankly weak at best -- for decent java, run across the street to local fave Hubbard and Cravens), but the food is truly worth it -- as the Sunday brunch wait times bear out. The omelets are some of the best in town, and the turkey sandwich tastes like your mom cooked a bird and made you a sandwich immediately afterward -- you can't beat that kind of freshness. There are three other locations throughout Indy: 8691 River Crossing Blvd.; 4733 E. 126th St.; and 225 W. Washington St.
