Hotel Indigo ReviewThis visually inviting hotel injects much-needed boutique charm to the scene. Opened in February 2008, it's tucked into Indy's Northside with hardwood-floor appeal and a business center for work gatherings. A communal outlook has Indigo decorating with local artists' work and tending to Fibi, a yorkie mix and the resident pup. (Pets are "family" here; Indigo has no size restrictions.) These features lend the hotel a B&B feel as it maintains all the amenities of a spalike stay. It's spacious, serene, smoke free -- and completely Wi-Fi ready, including in the sleek lounge. Each morning the Golden Bean Café serves Starbucks coffee and scones before turning into the health-minded PHI restaurant and bar after 5pm. Seven rooms are specially equipped for travelers with limited mobility. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. | 2 stars | Frommer's Very Highly Recommended | |
| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
