Dryburgh Abbey

Sixteen kilometers (10 miles) west of Kelso and 6km (3 3/4 miles) southeast of Melrose (off A68), you'll find the town of Dryburgh and its ruined abbey. The adjoining town is St. Boswells, an old village on the Selkirk-Kelso road. Near Dryburgh is Scott's View (take B6356 north) over the Tweed to Sir Walter's beloved Eildon Hills; it's the most glorious vista in the region.
